The Retro-Line Mini is an advanced, self-regulating, in-pipe, small geometry, heating cable system. The Retro-Line Mini can be installed in pipes as small as half-inch CTS, commonly known as PEX pipe. When purchasing Retro-Line Mini for half-inch PEX pipe, a compression-style tee for half-inch PEX pipe is not provided. Installers can instead opt for the Retro-Line Mini IP version, equipped with half-inch male threaded adapter. Following this, installers need to procure the necessary fittings to successfully adapt the Retro-Line Mini into a Tee configuration. Installers must ensure all half-inch fittings used have an internal diameter of no less than 0.485 inches.
Find out more about the recommended fittings for this application in this month’s video blog.
